Covid-19 health and safety changes I will be implementing at Angel Eyes Photography

Covid-19 health and safety changes I will be implementingCovid-19 health and safety changes I will be implementingCovid-19 health and safety changes I will be implementing at Angel Eyes Photography

The health and safety of my clients has always been really important to me but never more so than now.

I am writing this blog today to advise you about all of the health and safety procedures and practices I will implementing for all of my photography sessions.

Studio is now open and taking a reduced number of bookings at the moment.

If you received a voucher for a session to take place during 2020 the voucher has been extended by eight months to cover the the time we were in lockdown during April, May, June and November 2020 and January, February, March and April 2021 this applies to session vouchers with a 2020 expiry date.

Beginners photography course vouchers with a 2020 expiry date have been extended by 18 months  to cover the length of time that I have not been able to offer group courses due to covid 19.  Looking at the information I have received, I hope to be able to run one in September or October this year and when I am able to say for sure that this can happen I will advertise the date and take bookings.

Session vouchers with a 2021 expiry date will be extended by 3 months to cover the current time we are in lockdown.  This may be extended again if the lockdown continues or the studio remains closed after April 12th 2021.

Thank you for your continued business during what has been the most difficult time.  I look forward to welcoming you to the studio.

Please read below to see what procedures are in place.

  1. All payments for sessions and products will remain contactless, card payment or bank transfer - no cash payments accepted.
  2. Hand washing facilities will be available in the studio as well as alcohol based hand sanitiser.
  3. I will be following the government guidelines on how many people can take part in the session. Currently I can accommodate up to 6 people per session from no more than 2 households.  This is a legal requirement so there will be absolutely no exceptions. I ask that only the people taking part in the session attend where possible and when it's only the children that are being photographed only one parent attends (except for my newborn sessions where both parents are allowed to attend.)
  4. A mask or visor will be worn by me during all indoor sessions (clean/new ones for each session)
  5. Anyone over the age of 11 must wear a face covering unless they are exempt.  (These can be removed only when having photos taken)  You should provide your own face covering.  If you forget you're welcome to purchase one from me at £1 each.
  6. All props and fabrics will be cleaned and washed after every session.
  7. People will be asked to remove their shoes at the door.
  8. I will be allowing time between each session to allow for cleaning and disinfecting.
  9. If you're unwell you'll be asked to reschedule your session even if it's not Covid-19 related.
  10. If I am unwell I will be in touch to reschedule your session.
  11. Where possible, windows and doors will be left open for a few hours before and after every session to ensure fresh air flow.
  12. I will be sending out covid questionnaires to anyone attending an appointment at the studio.  This will be sent between 24 & 48 hours before your session and MUST be completed a minimum of 12 hours before you attend the session at your scheduled time and day.  If you forget to complete one then you will be asked to complete it before you enter the studio so please try to ensure you have completed this before you leave on the day.  A new form will need to be completed each time you attend the studio.  These are completed online and will be sent to me electronically. These questionnaires are in addition to the session questionnaire.

NHS - Track and Trace

Details provided via your session questionnaire will be provided to NHS track and trace system when required.  This is a legal requirement for all businesses.

Newborn lifestyle sessions

It's not clear at the moment when these session will be able to take place as currently although I can visit people in their homes I do have to stay at least 2 metres apart from the members of the household or their bubble.  This may not be possible in some homes so I have made the decision not to open my diary for bookings for these just yet.  When I have more information I will update you here.

All sessions will only take place if the government allows.  There may be unavoidable delays in the reduction of restrictions or further restrictions put in place and if this is the case I will be following all guidelines on whether I can do sessions either indoor or out.
